Description

This Superfood Blueberry Lemon Shot shines with a blend of fresh blueberries and zesty lemon, creating a refreshing shot packed with nutrients. Easy to make, this shot is perfect for mornings or a quick pick-me-up. Boost your day with its vibrant flavor!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups (296 g) fresh blueberries, (or frozen)
  • 2 medium lemons, (peeled, quartered)
  • 2-inch piece (about 20 grams) fresh ginger root, (peeled, sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons honey, (raw preferred for extra benefits)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup coconut water

Instructions

  1. Combine the blueberries, lemon quarters, ginger slices, honey, black pepper, and coconut water in a blender.
  2. Blend on high for 30 to 60 seconds until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl, using a spoon to push the juice through. For a smoother shot, cheesecloth can be used.
  4. Fill small glasses or shot bottles with the juice using a funnel, until all is poured.
  5. Seal the bottles or cover the glasses and refrigerate to chill before enjoying.
  6. Stir or shake before drinking, as natural separation may occur.

Notes

For a sweeter taste, add more honey according to preference.
Make ahead and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days for freshness.
