Description

This Red, White and Blue Fruit Salad brings a burst of flavor with juicy watermelon, crisp apples, and an array of fresh berries. Perfect for summer gatherings, it’s easy to prepare and makes a festive addition to any table. Enjoy a healthy and vibrant dessert that’s sure to impress!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 small seedless watermelon
  • 8 apples
  • ½ yellow honeydew melon
  • 4 cups strawberries
  • 2 cups raspberries
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 1 cup red grapes
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice per cup water

Instructions

  1. Wash all fruit and allow to dry.
  2. Cut watermelon, apples, and honeydew melon into small squares. Cut strawberries into halves or quarters based on size. Soak sliced apples in a lemon juice water mixture for at least 10 minutes if not serving immediately.
  3. Arrange blueberries and blackberries in a horizontal line to form the top left corner of the flag, then layer red and white fruits to fill the dish as desired.
  4. Use a star cookie cutter to cut shapes from an apple and place on top of the blueberries to finish your fruit flag.

Notes

Feel free to add or substitute your favorite berries and fruits.
If using a large watermelon, adjust the quantity of the other fruits accordingly to maintain balance.
Serving immediately will keep the fruits looking fresh and vibrant.
