Description

This Peach Preserves recipe delivers an irresistible flavor with every spoonful. Made with fresh peaches, sugar, and a hint of lemon, it’s straightforward to prepare and perfect for spreading on toast or enjoying with yogurt.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 peaches, diced into 2” cubes
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • ½ lemon, zest

Instructions

  1. Combine peaches, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a large saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture until it reaches a rapid boil and continue boiling for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Use a wooden spoon to help break down the peaches until the mixture thickens. It's ready when the peaches cling to the back of a spoon.
  3. Pour the preserves into a large glass jar or several smaller jars with lids and cool. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.

Notes

Make sure to use ripe peaches for the best flavor and texture.
Store preserves in a sealed jar to maintain freshness.
The preserves can be enjoyed for breakfast or as a sweet topping.
