Description

This Peach Pie Filling is incredibly flavorful and easy to make. Using fresh peaches, brown sugar, and a hint of cinnamon, it’s the perfect topping for pies and desserts. Enjoy this homemade filling for your next baking project!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe peaches, cubed
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Cube the peaches, peeling them if they're fresh or thawing if they're frozen.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Mix well.
  3. Heat the mixture until the juice from the peaches separates and begins to simmer.
  4. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture thickens. Use a potato masher to lightly mash about 20% of the peaches. Cook for an additional minute before removing from heat. Let it cool completely before using.

Notes

Make sure the peaches are ripe for the best flavor.
Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a week.
This filling works great for pies, turnovers, or as a topping for ice cream.
