- 4 cups fresh peach slices peeled
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- pinch of salt
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a medium saucepan, combine peach slices, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until the sugar has melted and the mixture is warm and juicy.
- Pour the melted butter into the bottom of the prepared baking dish without mixing.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth. Pour the mixture over the butter in the baking dish, without stirring.
- Spoon the peaches evenly over the batter, including some juice. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 38-42 minutes or until the top is golden and the edges are bubbling.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For added flavor, you can use a mix of white and yellow peaches.
Serve it warm for the best taste experience, especially with ice cream.
