- 2 to 3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 6 to 12 peperoncini peppers
- 1 (1-oz) packet au jus gravy mix
- 1 (1-oz) packet ranch dressing mix
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- Spray a 5 or 6 quart slow cooker with cooking spray and prepare your ingredients.
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels, then place it in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add the peperoncini peppers around the chicken, pouring some jar liquid over if desired. Sprinkle the gravy mix and ranch dressing mix evenly on top.
- Cut the butter into tablespoons and arrange on top of the seasoned chicken.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 2.5 to 4 hours or LOW for 6-8 hours, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Remove the chicken to a cutting board, let it rest for 10 minutes, then use two forks to pull into chunks.
- Stir the chicken back into the sauce to soak up flavor, then serve with your favorite sides.
