Description

This Mint Oreo Ice Cream Dessert is a delightful treat featuring layers of creamy mint chip ice cream and crunchy Oreos. It’s perfect for gatherings and easy to make with minimal fuss, ideal for a quick dessert that everyone will love.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (13.29 ounces) Oreo cookies (about 45 cookies)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 quarts mint chip ice cream, softened
  • 1 jar (12 ounces) hot fudge topping, divided
  • 1 tub (8 ounces) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/3 cup chopped Andes mints

Instructions

  1. Crush all the Oreo cookies in a food processor.
  2. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the cookie crumbs and set them aside.
  3. Mix the melted butter with the remaining cookie crumbs and pulse to combine.
  4. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan.
  5. Scoop half of the softened mint chip ice cream over the crust and smooth it out evenly.
  6. Spread most of the hot fudge over the ice cream, saving a few tablespoons for garnish.
  7. Top with the remaining ice cream and smooth the top.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and freeze for 6 hours or overnight.
  9. Spread the whipped topping over the ice cream and garnish with remaining fudge, crushed Oreos, and chopped Andes mints.
  10. Enjoy immediately or return to the freezer until ready to serve.

Notes

This dessert can be made a day in advance for convenience.
Feel free to replace mint chip ice cream with vanilla for a different flavor.
Add extra toppings like chocolate shavings for additional texture.
