Ingredients
Scale
- 4 oz baking chocolate
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13-inch pan with foil and cooking spray.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine baking chocolate and butter. Heat on HIGH for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Mix in sugar.
- Add eggs, vanilla, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, ¾ teaspoon of cayenne, salt, and 2 tablespoons of cocoa, stirring well to combine.
- Gently mix in the flour, followed by mini chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness (should have some crumbs, not wet batter). Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
- For the frosting, whisk together powdered sugar, ¼ teaspoon of cocoa, ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon, and a pinch of cayenne. Dust over cooled brownies.
Notes
Ensure the chocolate is melted completely for a smooth batter.
For an extra kick, adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your taste.
Let the brownies cool completely for cleaner slices.
