- 1 ½ ounces irish whiskey
- 1 to 2 teaspoons maple syrup, to taste
- 6 ounces hot freshly brewed coffee
- whipped cream, for topping
Instructions
- Pour the whiskey and 1 teaspoon of maple syrup into a heat-safe mug.
- Add a splash of the coffee and stir with a spoon until the maple syrup dissolves into the coffee.
- Pour in the remaining coffee. Taste and add more maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink.
- Top with whipped cream, pouring slowly over a spoon if necessary to gently float it on top. Serve warm.
Notes
Use your favorite coffee roast for the best flavor.
For a chocolatey twist, add a sprinkle of cocoa powder on top of the whipped cream.
A thicker whipped cream will enhance the drink’s creaminess.
