- 1 ½ tablespoons (12g) corn starch
- 3 tablespoons (15g) cocoa powder
- 2 cups (474ml) milk (whole, 2%, or nonfat)
- ½ cup (85g) chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons (28g) butter, diced
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, corn starch, and cocoa powder.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook while stirring constantly until the pudding thickens and begins to bubble.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips, butter, and vanilla until fully melted and combined.
- Pour the pudding into serving dishes and let it cool before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
You can top with whipped cream or chocolate shavings for garnish.
