Description
These Grilled Shrimp Skewers are a must-try for any seafood lover. With a burst of garlic and lemon flavor, they are quick to prepare, making them a great choice for a summer BBQ or a simple weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail on
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice from 1 lemon, about 3 Tablespoons of juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground or cracked pepper
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt, and ground pepper.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat. Allow the shrimp to marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated shrimp onto metal skewers or soaked wooden skewers and discard the marinade.
- Heat your grill to medium-high and place the shrimp skewers on the grill.
- Cook the shrimp for about 2 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque. Remove from the grill and serve hot with lemon wedges.
Notes
For added flavor, consider marinating the shrimp for longer than an hour if time permits.
Ensure wooden skewers are soaked in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
Serve with a fresh salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
