This Grilled Corn on the Cob is perfect for summer gatherings. Its simple preparation and irresistible buttered flavor make it a must-try dish for any outdoor cookout or quick meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 full-size corn on the cob (ears)
- ¼ tsp oil if using a griddle pan
- 30 g butter or dairy free alternative
- seasoning salt/pepper/herbs/chilli flakes
Instructions
- Prepare and set out all butters and seasonings beforehand.
- If the corn has husks, peel them back and remove the silk and tassels for clean kernels, then secure the husk or remove it completely.
- Preheat the barbecue, grill, or griddle pan to high heat.
- Lightly oil the griddle pan if using; no oil is needed for BBQ or grill unless desired on the corn.
- Place the corn cobs on the heat source and turn frequently until they attain a deeper yellow color with some slight charring. It should cook for about 8 to 10 minutes without drying out.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately with your chosen butter and seasonings.
Notes
For a flavorful twist, try different butter infusions such as garlic or herb.
Make sure not to overcook the corn to keep it juicy.
For a smokier flavor, cook it over an open flame if possible.
