Description

These crispy roasted Parmesan cabbage steaks bring together irresistible flavors of garlic and cheese for a hearty and healthy meal. Perfect for a quick dinner!


Ingredients

  • 4 cabbage steaks
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 cups grated parmigiano reggiano cheese
  • 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Wash and slice the cabbage in half vertically, then cut 'steaks' approximately 1 inch thick from one of the halves.
  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, 1/3 cup of grated Parmesan, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  • Brush both sides of the cabbage steaks with the oil mixture.
  • Place piles of the remaining Parmesan on the baking sheet, one for each steak.
  • Position each cabbage steak onto its cheese bed on the baking sheet.
  • Roast for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is golden and crispy.
  • Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Choose a firm, fresh cabbage for the best texture.
Adjust the seasoning to taste for more flavor if desired.
