- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ cup (31 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 5 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1 cup (8 ounces) chicken broth
- ½ cup (119 g) heavy cream
- ¼ cup (25 g) finely grated parmesan cheese
- 1–2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice, optional, to brighten flavor
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Dredge the seasoned chicken breasts in flour, shaking off any excess.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Mix in the parmesan cheese and fresh lemon juice, if using.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce.
- Let it simmer for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
