Description

These Chocolate Covered Mint Oreos are a delicious treat combining crunchy mint-flavored cookies and smooth chocolate. They’re easy to prepare and perfect for any gathering or sweet craving!


Ingredients

  • 24 mint flavored oreos
  • 16 ounces semisweet chocolate disks
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 tablespoons green sprinkles

Instructions

  • Place the semisweet chocolate disks in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds, stirring afterward.
  • Continue heating in 30-second increments, stirring between each, until completely smooth and glossy.
  • Add the peppermint extract to the melted chocolate and mix well to combine.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • Using a fork, dip one Oreo cookie into the chocolate, lifting it back out and gently tapping the fork against the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
  • Place the chocolate-covered Oreo onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Once all cookies are dipped, pour any remaining chocolate into a piping bag or a Ziploc bag with a corner cut off.
  • Drizzle the chocolate over the cookies in a zigzag pattern and immediately sprinkle green toppings on top.
  • Allow the cookies to set at room temperature for 30-60 minutes, or refrigerate for 15 minutes until fully hardened.
