- 3 large very ripe bananas mashed
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1/2 cup sour cream (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate chunks
- 2 oz chopped walnuts
- 2 oz white chocolate chunks or chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 10×5 loaf pan and lightly dust with flour.
- Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisk until smooth.
- Mix in the mashed bananas, sour cream, sea salt, and baking soda until fully combined.
- Add the flour and cinnamon, and gently mix until just combined to avoid overmixing.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chunks, walnuts, and white chocolate chunks, reserving some for garnish if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, topping with extra chocolate chunks and walnuts.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs. Cool before slicing.
Notes
Ensure bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
Tent with foil if the bread is browning too quickly.
