Description

This Caramelized Figs dish is a quick, sweet treat that combines juicy figs with honey and thyme, creating a delightful topping for Greek yogurt. Perfect for an easy dessert or a healthy snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 4-inch sprig thyme
  • 3 large figs, cut in half
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 ounces greek yogurt, plain or vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons pistachios, toasted

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium skillet over medium-low heat.
  2. Add honey and thyme leaves to the skillet, cooking for about 1 minute.
  3. Place fig halves cut-side down into the honey and caramelize for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Use tongs to turn figs over and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Serve the caramelized figs over Greek yogurt, drizzled with thyme honey and topped with toasted pistachios.

Notes

Use fresh figs for the best flavor.
Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of honey to your taste.
