Ingredients

  • 8 blueberries
  • ½ lime cut into 2 wedges
  • 6 fresh mint leaves
  • fluid ounces white rum
  • ½ fluid ounce simple syrup
  • large handful fresh ice or crushed ice
  • 2 fluid ounces club soda to taste
  • 3 blueberries for garnish, optional
  • 3 fresh mint leaves for garnish, optional

Instructions

  1. Muddle the blueberries, lime wedges, and mint in the bottom of a tall glass until the blueberries are broken up and the lime has released its juice.
  2. Pour in the white rum and simple syrup, then add club soda. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Fill the glass with ice and top with more club soda to taste. Garnish with additional blueberries and mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Fresh mint leaves add the best flavor, so use them whenever possible.
Use crushed ice for a chillier texture or fresh ice for a stronger flavor.
