Description

This Apple Cider Donut Bundt Cake is a delightful treat featuring rich apple cider flavor and spices. Perfect for gatherings, it’s easy to make and sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (500 g) all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups (600 g) granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 ½ cups apple cider, or apple juice
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ¼ cup (½ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup apple cider
  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons apple pie spice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 10 to 12 cup Bundt pan with baking spray, or butter and flour.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, apple pie spice, and salt using a whisk.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together apple cider, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until mixed well.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Transfer the batter into the prepared Bundt pan evenly.
  6. Bake for 50 to 65 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a toothpick into the cake; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack.
  8. Brush or drizzle ¼ cup of apple cider over the warm cake evenly.
  9. Mix granulated sugar with apple pie spice in a bowl. While the cake is warm, sprinkle this mixture over the surface and press gently for even coating.
  10. Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding chopped apples or nuts to the batter.
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delightful dessert.
Store leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
