Description

This Air Fryer Sweet and Spicy Salmon features irresistible flavors with a perfect blend of spices. Ideal for a quick and healthy dinner, it’s made with simple ingredients like salmon, light brown sugar, and mustard, making it a delightful homemade dish everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound salmon, (4) 4-ounce filets
  • 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped; for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels. Brush about 1/2 teaspoon of mustard onto each salmon filet, then sprinkle with 1/4 of the spice mixture. Let the salmon sit for about 10 minutes before cooking.
  4. Place the salmon in the air fryer, ensuring there's about an inch of space around each filet. If necessary, cook in batches. Cook for 6-8 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 135 degrees F.
  5. Remove the salmon filets from the air fryer and transfer to a plate. Cover with aluminum foil while cooking any remaining filets. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Adjust the spiciness by varying the amount of spicy brown mustard.
For a more intense flavor, let the salmon marinate with the spice mixture for an hour before cooking.
Serve with a side of vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
