Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 pounds salmon fillets boneless, skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
- Chili crisp oil for drizzling
- Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
- Sliced green onion for garnish
Instructions
- Place the salmon pieces in a large mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil, tossing to coat well.
- Combine the cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, and brown sugar in a small bowl, then sprinkle this mixture over the salmon and toss gently to ensure all pieces are coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) before cooking.
- Arrange the coated salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. If needed, cook in batches.
- Air fry the salmon for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and fully cooked.
- Once cooked, remove the salmon bites from the air fryer and, if desired, drizzle with chili crisp oil.
- Serve immediately, garnishing with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Optionally serve over rice.
Notes
For a spicier kick, increase the amount of chili powder.
Feel free to use any combination of garnishes that you prefer, such as cilantro or lime juice.
These bites can be served as an appetizer or main dish.
