Description

This Air Fryer Grilled Cheese is a delightful blend of crispy golden bread and gooey melted cheese. Perfect for quick dinners or comforting meals, it’s a must-try for all grilled cheese lovers!


Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
  • 1 tablespoon softened butter or mayo
  • 23 slices cheese (sharp cheddar, American, provolone, Swiss, gouda, or a combo)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread. Place one slice in front of you, butter-side down. Layer the cheese evenly on top, keeping it slightly away from the edges. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up. Gently press the sandwich together and insert a toothpick in the center to secure it.
  3. Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 370°F for 4–5 minutes. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3–4 minutes until both sides are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  4. Remove from the air fryer, discard the toothpick, slice, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispiness, add a sprinkle of garlic powder to the butter before spreading.
Experiment with different types of cheese for unique flavors.
Use a toothpick to hold the sandwich together during cooking.
