Description

  • 1 pound ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning
  • 12 ounces tortilla chips sturdy chips to hold the toppings
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese for melting
  • 1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese for melting
  • ½ cup jalapeños sliced, for added heat
  • ½ cup sour cream for topping
  • ½ cup guacamole for topping
  • ½ cup fresh salsa for topping
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
  • Drain excess fat and add taco seasoning to the beef, stirring well.
  • Spread tortilla chips evenly on a baking sheet.
  • Top the chips with the cooked ground beef.
  • Sprinkle cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the beef layer.
  • Bake the nachos in an oven preheated to 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and add jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa on top.
  • Serve hot, garnished with cilantro or any other preferred toppings.

Notes

You can customize toppings according to your taste, adding ingredients like olives or green onions.
For extra flavor, consider adding beans or corn to the beef mixture.
If you prefer a spicier nacho, use pepper jack cheese instead of Monterey Jack.
